The GPSA Award For Leadership In Social Accountability

 

A new initiative

The Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) issued for the first time the GPSA Award for Leadership in Social Accountability in an official ceremony at the GPSA Partners Forum on May 12, 2015.
 

 

Six Regional Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award

 

The GPSA Award serves as a recognition granted to seven individuals in government, civil society organizations or the private sector for their outstanding contributions, influence and impact in the field of Social Accountability as a means to eradicate poverty and foster shared prosperity. The GPSA announced six regional Award winners  - each representing a geographic region: Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, and South Asia. A special Lifetime Achievement award was also granted.

 

The GPSA 2015 winners are:

 

  • AFRICA REGION:
    Ibrahim Tanko Amidu
    – Programme Manager STAR-Ghana (CSO) – Ghana

 

 

  • LATIN AMERICA & CARIBBEAN REGION:
    Gonzalo Hernandez Licona – Executive Secretary CONEVAL (Gov) – Mexico

 

 

 

 

  • LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD:
    Oded Grajew
    – Founder & General Coordinator Rede Nossa Sao Paulo (CSO) – Brazil
